Hungary, which has refound its interest in the Eurovision Song Contest after an uncertain past with many withdrawals and unfortunate results, is holding a national final for the first time since 2008. Many big names subscribed as a result of the immense popularity of the previous years' entry "What about my dreams".
The songs were graded by 4 judges with marks from 1-10. The top 3 songs were given an automatic bye into the final. Tonight the lucky jury picks were Tibor Gyurcsík, Nika & the Kiralys. The other 7 songs faced a public vote. The jury had to pick between the Kiralys & Juli Fábián/Zoohacker, choosing the former. This was the outcome of the jury vote:
