The final next week has shaped up to be a really interesting contest, with a lot of strong contenders. This week added to the list were:
1. Bobby Bare and Peter Øien - "Things Change". In a totally out of the blue move, Norwegian country singer Peter Øien performed with American country legend Bobby Bare with the song "Things Change". I never thought I would type the words "Norwegian", "country" and "singer" in the same sentence - but there you go. A pretty good song if you like this kind of stuff.
2. Yaseen and Julie Maria - "Sammen". In what you would think is not a typical Eurovision song, youngsters Yaseen and Julie Marie sang a more-than melodic Norwegian rap song tonight. I felt myself actually quite moved despite my total lack of knowledge of Norwegian aside from "ha det bra" and "takk ska du ha". Two out of the three 12points staff have had Norwegian boyfriends before, you would think we would know more! But I digress.
3. Tooji - "Stay". Take Italian artist Benny Benassi and mix him with Eric Saade from Sweden and you get "Stay". All joking aside, this immediately grabs you. It helps that 2 of Sweden's biggest songwriters contributed to this song. Have a listen below:
