Irish RTÉ has confirmed that Jedward indeed are going to be taking place in the Irish national final again, but they are not selected yet, like the brothers revealed earlier this week. There will be five artists and one of them will win.... Good Luck Jedward, we'll most likely see you in Baku anyway! Further details will be announced in the new year.

Today the first three participants (Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus) of the Junior Eurovision Songcontest arrived at Yerevan.
Roman Lob for Germany
Thursday, 16 February 2012 20:23Roman Lob won the German ticket to Eurovision. He will sing a song written by Jamie Cullum: Standing Still, read my impressions of the evening below.
After having won the contest two years ago and organizing it last year, Germany still seems to be in a Eurovision mood. In a big final show, the winner of Unser Star Für Baku will be selected as well as the song. The jury (Thomas D, Stefan Raab and Alina Süggeler) is dressed in the colors of the German flag for this occasion. Who will represent that flag will be known by the end of the evening: Roman Lob or Ornella de Santis.

Croatia is going internal too, this year. Today HRT announced that 39 year old Nina Badrić will represent the country at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Her song will be presented in the beginning of March during Dora, the Croatian national final. In 2003 Nina reached a second position in Dora and also in 1993, 1994 and 1995 she tried to make it.

Ivi Adamou is going to represent Cyprus at Eurovision with La La Love. The song was selected yesterday evening. Call The Police and You Don't Belong Here didn't make it, as both the jury and the tele voters preferred La La Love. The song is written by Alex Papaconstantinou, Bjorn Djupstrom, Alexandra Zakka and Viktor Svensson. Listen to the song below.

One of these days Israel is going to announce its artist for Eurovision this year. Maya Buskila is the name that pops up in rumourland... but doesn't it every year? Another rumour mill tells us John Barrowman might be the UK's man in Baku this year. He has been flirting with the contest for years. Will this year be his? Several names have been rumoured for Armenia already. The latest one is Austrian Sankil Jones, whose song Fire wasn't considered in his hime country. Apparently he is now trying to get on the Armenian shortlist.

Tomorrow Norway (see details), Iceland (details) and Hungary (details) will select their Eurovision entry. This means yet another buzzing Eurovision night as Sweden and Lithuania also will continue their hunt for a suitable act for the Eurovision Song Contest. On Sunday the Germans will set the next step in their quest for a Star in Baku, presenting their semi final with only four remaining artists.

Host country Azerbaijan will be represented by Sabina Babayeva this year. She won last night in the Azeri national final, where she beat her four competetors. The song she will be singing in Baku has not been selected yet. In the coming weeks it is going to be written for her. Babayeva already tried to represent Azerbaijan last year, but didn't reach the final then. Now she was the clear favorit.
