Bosnia brings a piano on stage

Presenting this year's Eurovision artists. It will be Bosnian Maya's third time on a Eurovision stage, but the first time taking the leading role.

A BBC team traveled to Buranov, the home village of the grannies representing Russia this year to find out about their background. Viktor Drobysh, the composer of Party for everybody revealed: "One of the grannies, Natalia Pugachyova, has a very jealous husband, who plans to travel to Baku with her because he thinks that she might be having a lover there. Well, let him go with her. The Eurovision contest should by no means be a reason for divorce." Read more here.

In 2003 Charlotte Nilsson (Sweden 1999, 2008) got married with Nicola Perrelli, and then adapted her new husband's family name too. Since then we know her as Charlotte Perrelli. The love birds have longe ago got divorced, and now it's about time for Charlotte to give back his last name, Nicola thinks, especially since there is another man in Charlotte's life right now. Charlotte insists it's her artist name however and doesn't seem to be willing to give in. Now that Carola (Sweden 1983, 1991, 2006) has been in the news quite a lot recently with the story about her wish to adopt a baby, this might just be Charlotte's answer to get back in the news too... who knows?

Exactly three months ago, the Bosnian broadcaster presented Maya Sar as the country's representative at this year's Eurovision. A monrth ago the title was released, Korake ti znam. Today, finally the song itself got presented. Maya Sar is Maja Sarihodžić, who already could be found on the Eurovision stage in 2004 and 2011 as backing vocal. Listen to her lovely song here. A bit too lovely maybe? You decide!

Still a few countries are awaited to announce, or select (in the case of Belgium) their Eurovision entry this year, but betting has already started. If you guess Loreen's Euphoria will win the contest and you are right, you get just a few dimes more than you paid. In other words Sweden is currently leading the odds, followed by Russia, Denmark, Serbia and Italy. San marino, Macedonia, Montenegro and malta can amke you very rich by winning, they're last in the order right now. 

Loreen is also doing quite well in iTunes land, in her own country her song is both number one and number three in the iTunes top 10 right now (in two different versions).

Bosnian broadcaster BHRT has announced what song Maya Sar is going to sing at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. She was alreeady selected a while ago. Now we know the song title too: Korake ti znam. The song, written by Maya Sar herself will be presented on 10 March in a special broadcast on Bosnian television. The videoclip for the song will partially be filmed in Rome and partially in Istanbul.

Bosnia & Hercegovina are the next in line to have presented their 2012 artist. The Bosnian broadcaster is sending Maya Sar to Baku with a song written by herself. The song will be presented in spring. Maja Sarihodžić as she is actually called, already has some Eurovision experience as she was one of the backing vocals in 2004 and 2011. In 2010 she made her debut single, next year her first album is expected. Source EBU.
