Oh My God, It's Lili & Susie!
Tuesday, 12 July 2011 18:47If you have not yet made plans for this summer, consider Stockholm. Stockholm Pride will be full of Eurovision again. Lili and Susie stand for the Pride Song of this year, Bailamor, Euroschlager like it has to be. Watch the clip below, by the sisters that first appeared in Melodifestivalen 1989 and had their come back last year with Show me heaven.
Calling Stockholm the Eurovision capital of Europe is not exaggerated. Nowhere is the Eurovision national final bigger than in Sweden. Not in any other countries are big local and international stars lining up to be part of the contest. Taking a look at the Swedish charts in the weeks after Melodifestivalen, the national Eurovision final, would make any Eurovision fan elsewhere in Europe quite envious, as at least two thirds of the hit list will be filled with Eurovision related songs then.
Ooh Aah | Crystal Palace it will be?
Thursday, 08 September 2011 16:46News Round-up of the day. Nothing confirmed offically but according to Azerbaijani press this will be the location for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.
The German company Alpine has started the construction of a 25,000 seat arena located in the sea, just off the coastline of central Baku. We cannot be too sure about this news, though, untill the Azeri authorities have confirmed it. And that has not happened yet.
Melodifestivalen: A Primer
Saturday, 21 January 2012 13:59Melodifestivalen 2012 kicks off two weeks from today! 12points.tv explains more about the 6-week saga for the uninitiated.
We can hardly contain ourselves here at 12points.tv. Each day brings more juicy news items around this year's Eurovision selection - who's chosen to make an appearance at Baku, who tearfully and angrily goes home without a prize (or in Lys Assia's case, collapses and goes to hospital after this year's Swiss final) and who sounds the most like Lady Gaga. (We predict at least 3 Gaga-esque songs). But all these national competitions pale in comparison to the biggest mother of them all - Sweden's six-week Eurovision selection competition otherwise known as Melodifestivalen. Emulated across Europe, no other imitators can beat the high drama and sometimes high trash of this always incredible contest. For those of you who aren't familiar with this contest, I will happily explain why it's so fabulous.
OA | Nina Badrić for Croatia
Tuesday, 10 January 2012 10:30++ Empty Room best MF song ever ++ 20 Stars für Baku ++ Sandie Shaw hates Eurovision (what's new?) ++ Danish song disqualified ++ More.....
Croatia is going internal too, this year. Today HRT announced that 39 year old Nina Badrić will represent the country at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Her song will be presented in the beginning of March during Dora, the Croatian national final. In 2003 Nina reached a second position in Dora and also in 1993, 1994 and 1995 she tried to make it.

Switzerland is ready for their big final on 10 December, all participating songs can be heard here. So far our 12 points would go to Atomic Angels, we are a bit sad however that the Romanz guys from South Africa didn't make it to the final 14.
