While there is not much going on in the Eurovision news factory at the moment, we thought it was a good moment to discuss some of this year's CD/single and digital releases. Not many songs have been released on physical CD's (yet). The best resource for all information about this is the Malmö collection by Jan Götz.
The very first Dutch song in the Eurovision history, in fact the very first eurovision song ever that was, was about Dutch birds. In 1956 the first Eurovision Song Contest opened with the song De Vogels van Holland (The Birds of Holland) by Jetty Paerl (see picture). This year the theme returns.....
